Students are encouraged to get an influenza (flu) and COVID-19 vaccine every year, according to public health guidance, to help protect against these viral illnesses.
Getting vaccinated helps prevent students from getting sick while also helping to protect friends, family and loved ones. It also reduces the demand on local hospitals.

Students can get flu (influenza) and Covid-19 vaccines between November and March during respiratory season. Students are encouraged to book an appointment .
Vaccines are also available at pharmacies at the end of October. Local pharmacies on or near campus include:

How to Report COVID-19 Vaccines Received Outside of Ontario or Canada
Students can submit a copy of their vaccine records by fax (613-549-0985) or mail: Southeast Health Unit, 221 Portsmouth Ave., Kingston, ON, K7M1V5
Once vaccine records have been received, will update records in the Ontario documentation system (COVaxON). Please allow 7 to 10 business days. When records have been updated, students will be sent an email with a link that will allow the vaccine receipt to be downloaded.
COVID-19 Testing and Treatment
Anyone with one more COVID-19 symptoms should take the self-assessment on the .
Symptoms of COVID-19 include:
- fever or chills
- cough
- shortness of breath
- runny nose or nasal congestion
- headache
- fatigue
- sore throat
- muscle aches or joint pain
- stomach problems (e.g., vomiting or diarrhea)
People with symptoms should stay away from others until the fever goes away and other symptoms get better for at least 24-hours or 48 hours if they have nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
If students miss an academic requirement due to COVID-19 illness, symptoms, or a self-isolation requirement, academic consideration will be granted. Documentation from a healthcare provider is not required. Students should follow steps for an extenuating circumstance (self-attestation is sufficient documentation).
