Diagnostic Testing and Results

Any bloodwork taken during an appointment is sent to for analysis. Tests take 2-14 days to be reported,and we do not call students to report negative test results (i.e., no detection of condition tested for).

Diagnostic Test Results

  • When test results arrive, they are reviewed by the healthcare practitioner who ordered the test
  • Some test results may be communicated through TELUS Health Connect, phone or email
  • Follow-up appointments to discuss test results will be booked if needed

Tuberculosis (TB) Testing

This testing checks to see if students have been infected with tuberculosis (TB). It consists of four separate appointments spread over several weeks. Please book these appointments well in advance to when testing needs to be completed.

If students have documentation of a prior 2-step TB test, they can book a 1-step TB test. This will include two appointments 48-72 hours apart.

There is no charge for Queen鈥檚 mandated programs (e.g., medicine, nursing, etc.) however there is a fee for non-mandated TB tests (e.g. for volunteering or for third party requests). Please see price list for uninsured services.
