Queen鈥檚 Observatory Tour

Participants will have access to the Queen's Observatory facilities which include the main Celestron 14鈥 telescope, small solar telescopes, and the video screening room. Astronomers in the screening room and Observatory dome will present the foundations of astronomical research, Observatory operations, and hot topics in astrophysics (such as recent discoveries with the James Webb Space Telescope). Weather permitting, observations of the Sun will also be made using telescopes on the outdoor deck. Join us for this enjoyable event, we hope to see you there!

Join us for a 3D Modelling workshop at SparQ Studios Makerspace. SparQ Studios is a makerspace and design studio that provides a wide range of tools, machinery, knowledge, and expertise so that you can bring your idea into a physical form.

3D Modelling is a fun one-hour workshop where attendees can bring their laptop or work on one of the (2 or 3) computers available in the space and learn the basics of creating their own custom 3d model in less than 30 minutes, using standard CAD software. The attendees can then optionally print their 3D designs.
