Resilience is the capacity to adapt or recover. It helps us choose positively rather than negatively. Resilience allows us to feel it, experience it and move beyond it. Regardless of your life circumstances or your workplace, building your own resilience will allow you to have a better quality of life.

This session is designed for employees and leaders to help focus on developing personal resilience, by recognizing your automatic responses to stress, and by choosing healthier strategies. Queen鈥檚 Observatory Tour - Session 2 (Thrive Week)

Participants will have access to the Queen's Observatory facilities which includes the main Celestron 14鈥 telescope, small solar telescopes, and the video screening room. Astronomers in the screening room and Observatory dome will present the foundations of astronomical research, Observatory operations, and hot topics in astrophysics (such as recent discoveries with the James Webb Space Telescope). Weather permitting, observations of the Sun will also be made using telescopes on the outdoor deck. Join us for this enjoyable event, we hope to see you there!

Children鈥檚 Clothing Swap (Thrive Week)

Join the  for a children's clothing swap during Thrive Week. Community members are encouraged to bring children's clothing items in good condition from 0-6 months up to size 14 (youth).

Please check your items to ensure they are free of rips and stains and are in good quality. New socks and underwear only 鈥 used items cannot be shared. Clothing will not be screened by QPCV volunteers and must be sorted by donors on size-assigned tables.

This clothing swap is open to all members of our Queen's community, including students, staff and faculty. While you are encouraged to both contribute to and receive from the swap, both are not required. Take what you need and share what you can. Any items remaining at the end of the clothing swap will be donated to a local charity benefiting women and children in need in our community.

Registration is not required, but encouraged. Drop-in opportunity!
