The Queen’s community remembers Amin Nazari, who passed away on January 31, 2026. Amin was in his fourth year of studies in the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program. In 2025-26, he served on the Alma Mater Society Assembly, the Commerce Society as Vice-President Operations, and the Residence Society as Brant House President. Throughout his time at Queen’s and across numerous leadership roles, the community recognized Amin for his curiosity, keen interest in university governance, commitment to supporting students, and kindness.

On February 3, the day of his celebration of life in Thornhill, the Queen’s flag was lowered to half-mast in honour of Amin. 

Supporting each other as community members and accessing support for ourselves is important when experiencing loss.
