Led by Vice-Principal, University Relations, Michael Fraser, the University Relations (UR) portfolio is responsible for building and enhancing the institution鈥檚 profile and reputation as a leading, research-intensive university with global impact. 

UR is comprised of Integrated Communications, Government and Institutional Relations, and Marketing and Brand teams, all of which communicate key information to wide-ranging stakeholders in support of Queen鈥檚 mission.

Integrated Communications

The iComms team develops and implements comprehensive communications strategies through stakeholder relations, internal and external communications, media relations, and issues management.

The Marketing and Brand team is responsible for managing the Queen鈥檚 University brand and developing high-level digital-first marketing and communication strategies grounded in audience research and insights. It also supports the strategic marketing work of Queen's faculties and schools in building and enhancing the university鈥檚 profile and brand.

Government and Institutional Relations

Government and Institutional Relations (GIR) handles relations, advises campus leaders, and coordinates advocacy efforts. They also manage ties with external post-secondary groups and maintain campus and community relationships.
