2. Review the applicable section (May Ceremonies or June Ceremonies) for information specific to your ceremony date/time

Attention Arts & Science Joint Honours: Please attend ceremony by first alphabetical department, using the Program Plan Code rather than the name.
- For example, if your concentrations are ECON (Economics) in Ceremony 2 and DEVS (Global Development Studies) in Ceremony 9, you will attend based on the alphabetical order of the Program Code, which would be DEVS in Ceremony 9.

- Bring photo ID, but leave other personal items at home or with a family member
GUESTS:
- Doors open 90 minutes before ceremony time
- There is no assigned seating
- Ceremonies are expected to be approximately 2 hours
Please note: Some of the graduates and guests in attendance suffer from sensitivities due to scented products. We kindly request that you consider refraining from wearing scented products to this event.

Free Parking:
During Convocation, all Queen's surface "Permit Required" parking lots and "Permit Required" on-street parking spaces provide free parking during Convocation ceremonies.
- PLEASE NOTE THAT VEHICLES PARKED IN "PERMIT REQUIRED RESERVED 24/7" PARKING SPACES WILL BE TICKETED.
- Payment is still required in all City of Kingston on-street metered parking spaces and 'Pay and Display' zones.
- Please respect special needs parking spaces and fire lanes.

- A paid underground parking lot is located on Stuart Street (at the corner of University Avenue).
- Please respect special needs parking spaces and fire lanes.
'Pay and Display' Meters
- Payment is required at all City of Kingston on-street parking meters and in the municipal parking lots on the waterfront. Meters will accept coins or credit cards.
- Please Note: Hourly rates will vary according to location.
Due to capacity and seating limits, graduates who have RSVP'd are limited to three (3) guests
- The deadline for graduates to reserve guest tickets is May 11
- Those who did not reserve guest tickets by the deadline should email graduand@queensu.ca for assistance
- For guest parties that exceed the 3 guest limit, we will be offering a special viewing room in Kingston Hall Room 101
- Where possible, staff will attempt to accommodate viewing room patrons with seating in Grant Hall should it become available.
- Please note that physical tickets will not be issued. Guests will provide the name of their graduating student to ushering staff upon arrival.
Gaspard and Sons (in conjunction with the Alma Mater Society) is the service provider for graduation regalia (hoods and gowns) at Queen's.
Those interested in renting hoods and gowns, please visit the Gaspard/AMS 'Build A Grad' online ordering portal. A link will be provided here when available.
Optional traditional attire for Indigenous graduates
Indigenous graduates and faculty may choose to wear traditional Indigenous attire (First Nations, Metis, or Inuit), in lieu of a gown and hood, at convocation ceremonies.
All graduates who choose to wear traditional regalia, or wish to receive a gift, must confirm arrangements with the Four Directions Indigenous Student Centre via an online submission form at least two weeks prior to the future event they are scheduled to attend. This is to inform the event organizers.

Queen’s University acknowledges the diversity of Indigenous peoples, communities, and nations. As such it is recognized that traditional Indigenous attire may vary.

After your ceremony, you can return your rental gown and hood right away, or you can meet your family and friends and take photos before returning your gown and hood. Gowns and hoods must then be returned to Kingston Hall.

Please note that photography and videography will be taking place at Convocation Ceremonies for promotional and archival purposes. The photographs and recordings may be used in applications including but not limited to print, broadcast, electronic, digital, and social media, for promoting, publicizing, or explaining Queen’s or its activities and for administrative, educational, or research purposes.
