˴Ƭ remembers Reginald Locke

The former employee worked at Queen's for 26 years.

The Queen’s community is remembering Reginald “Reg” Willis Locke, who passed away on Sept. 29 at the age of 93. He and his family have been valued members of the university community for many years. He worked in the data processing department at Queen’s for 26 years, and his wife Mary worked in residences at the university for 18 years. His son, Brian, is currently a groundskeeper at Queen’s and another son, Thomas, also worked as a groundskeeper on campus until his retirement. Reg was also a valued member of the broader Kingston community and a founding member of the Kingston Township Minor Hockey League.

The family will be accepting visitors on Monday Oct. 6 from 11:30 am to 12:50 pm, at the James Reid Funeral Home on John Counter Boulevard, the service will begin in the James Reid Chapel at 1:00 pm. The Queen’s flag will be lowered to half-mast in his honour on Oct. 6 as well.
