Earlier this year, Principal Patrick Deane shared Queen鈥檚 Bicentennial Vision: A Discussion Paper, inviting the Queen鈥檚 community to participate in a public dialogue about the university鈥檚 long-term vision as it approaches its 200th anniversary.

鈥淭he discussions I鈥檝e had over the past several months have been incredibly engaging and will help shape our next steps,鈥 says Principal Deane, who met with students, staff, faculty, alumni and other campus groups. 鈥淭he work of the Future of the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Group has also progressed alongside these consultations, and their insights will play a crucial role in supporting the development of a vision the university community can be proud of and aspire to.鈥

To help with its development, Principal Deane has formed the Principal鈥檚 Advisory Group on the Bicentennial Vision. The group, which includes representation from leadership, students, staff, and faculty, will provide informed feedback on the goals, ideas, and themes forming the Bicentennial Vision, and ensure its alignment with institutional values and priorities.

Principal Deane will work with the advisory group throughout the summer, and a draft of the Bicentennial Vision document will be shared this fall for broad circulation and feedback.
