Employee Resource Group Leaders Time Release Policy receives approval

The Employee Resource Group (ERG) Leaders Time Release Policy was recently approved by the Senior Leadership Team. This policy is designed to support employees who serve as leaders of ERGs by providing designated time release from their regular duties to perform ERG responsibilities. Key points of the policy include:
- Purpose: To recognize and facilitate the important contributions of ERG leaders in fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace environment.
- Time Release: Eligible ERG leads will be granted a specified amount of paid time release to engage in ERG-related activities, enabling them to balance these duties alongside their primary work responsibilities.
- Process: Managers are responsible for approving and accommodating the time release requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operational needs.
- Eligibility: The policy applies to employees serving as designated ERG leaders recognized by the University.
