All Queen’s staff and faculty are encouraged to attend a virtual session about Queen’s 2026–27 operating budget and financial outlook.

The Budget Information Forum will be held on Teams on Monday, June 1, from 1–2 p.m. and will provide an opportunity to hear directly from senior leaders about Queen’s current financial position, recent progress, and the work ahead to strengthen long-term financial sustainability in support of the university’s academic and research mission and Queen's Bicentennial Vision

The forum will feature remarks from Principal and Vice-Chancellor Patrick Deane, along with presentations from Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic) Matthew Evans and Vice-Principal (Finance and Administration) Donna Janiec. The session will include updates on the approved 2026–27 operating budget, ongoing budget management efforts, and the anticipated impact of recent provincial government funding announcements on the university’s financial outlook.

“While there has been some encouraging progress regarding the university’s finances, there is still important work ahead,” says Patrick Deane, Principal and Vice-Chancellor. “The progress we have made reflects the professionalism and collective efforts of staff, faculty, and leadership across the institution. This forum is an opportunity to provide context as we continue moving forward together in support of students, research, and the broader community.”
