Queen鈥檚 University professor John McGarry is available to provide expert analysis on U.S. President Donald Trump鈥檚 newly announced peace proposal for Gaza and the wider Israel-Palestine conflict.
Dr. McGarry is recognized internationally as one of the leading scholars on conflict resolution in deeply divided societies. His research on power-sharing, federalism, and constitutional design has shaped policy and peace negotiations from Northern Ireland to Iraq. He has also served as Senior Advisor on Power-Sharing for the United Nations, bringing both academic and practical experience to the challenges of designing durable peace frameworks.
With the White House plan proposing an international governing board, phased Palestinian authority, and strict demilitarization, Dr. McGarry can offer clear insight on its prospects.
