Five Faculty of Arts and Science faculty members earned awards at the Dean's Awards Reception, held at the University Club. Earning recognition were (l to r): Michele Morningstar (Department of Psychology), Teaching and Learning Excellence; Danielle Lussier (Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures), Teaching and Learning Innovation; Nikta Sadati (Department of English Literature and Creating Writing), Teaching Fellow Award; and Dongmei Chen (Department of Geography and Planning), Award for Excellence in Graduate Mentorship. Missing is Stephen Hughes (Department of Physics), Award for Excellence in Graduate Mentorship.

Annual awards honour top graduate students, faculty members
Faculty of Arts and Science Interim Dean Bob Lemieux hosted the annual Dean鈥檚 Awards Reception which honours one graduate student from each department for their academic excellence.
Also honoured at the event were the Teaching and Learning Award winners and the Award for Excellence in Graduate Mentorship.
鈥淭his award is a testament for your outstanding academic record, and the immense potential our departments saw in you,鈥 Interim Dean Lemieux told the graduate students. 鈥淟ooking around this room, I see the future of scholarship. I see historians, chemists, philosophers, and physicists, representing the incredible breadth of intellectual curiosity that defines this faculty.
