Faculty of Arts and Science Interim Dean Bob Lemieux hosted the annual Dean’s Awards Reception which honours one graduate student from each department for their academic excellence.

Also honoured at the event were the Teaching and Learning Award winners and the Award for Excellence in Graduate Mentorship.

“This award is a testament for your outstanding academic record, and the immense potential our departments saw in you,” Interim Dean Lemieux told the graduate students. “Looking around this room, I see the future of scholarship. I see historians, chemists, philosophers, and physicists, representing the incredible breadth of intellectual curiosity that defines this faculty.

Interim Dean Lemieux also spoke about the Graduate Mentorship and Teaching and Learning Award winners. “I want to take a moment to acknowledge this year’s winners of the Dean’s Teaching Awards and the Graduate Mentorship Awards. These individuals exemplify the supportive, rigorous, and inspiring academic environment we strive to create. They are a testament to the culture of mentorship you are now joining.”
