The community engagement team is currently in the process of developing an intake form that will allow partners to provide information regarding their partnership needs, so that we can best support their relationship with faculty and staff. In the meantime, questions regarding resource support should be directed to the community engagement team directly.

Community engaged learning refers to the pedagogical process of learning through experience in and with our local, regional, national, and international communities. Queen鈥檚 commits to community engaged learning that results in equitable, reciprocal, and mutually beneficial partnerships.

Please refer to the community engagement course supports available to faculty and staff to determine whether you feel prepared to assist in a community engagement reciprocal relationship.

Community engagement refers to a reciprocal relationship with a partner; it is mutually-beneficial. Community service refers to work that does engage with a community, although it usually favours the experience of one party (i.e. a student teacher observing a classroom).
