Join the London, UK Branch for an evening of arts and community at the Courtauld Gallery in Somerset House.

Open late on Fridays until May, take in art after hours at the Courtauld Gallery. Youcan explore the Courtauld’s renowned permanent collection, home to Renaissance treasures and iconic Impressionist masterpieces. 

You also have the choice to purchase a ticket for The Griffin Catalyst Exhibition: Seurat and the Sea, which brings together 26 paintings, oil sketches, and drawings created during the five summers Seurat spent along the northern coast of France between 1885 and 1890. 

Working in port towns such as Honfleur, Port‑en‑Bessin, and Gravelines, Seurat captured shimmering seascapes, regattas, and harbour life in his distinctive Neo‑Impressionist style. He sought, in his words, “to wash his eyes of the days spent in the studio [in Paris] and to translate in the most faithful manner the bright clarity, in all its nuances.”

All are welcome and you can encouraged to bring a guest. We also invite all guests to join us after the gallery closes for conversation and connection at a nearby restaurant from 8 pm onward. Details will be shared closer to the event.

You will need to select a time, we recommend the 6:45, 7, or 7:15 pm time slots as the gallery closes at 8 pm. Please note that registration is limited based on venue capacity.

Getting there:

The Courtauld Gallery is located within Somerset House, one of London’s most famous landmarks and right in the heart of the city. Both the Gallery and Café can be directly accessed via the Strand entrance of Somerset House.

The Courtauld Gallery is in walking distance of Trafalgar Square, Shaftesbury Avenue, Covent Garden and Bloomsbury.
