The Vice-Principal Research portfolio invites the Queen's research community to a virtual two-part Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Insight Grant boot camp on Tuesday, June 10 and Thursday, June 12 from 10:00 - 11:00 am (presentation, 15-min Q & A).

During this two-part session, Queen's Research Projects Advisors Adrian Kelly and Diane Davies will introduce researchers to best practices for SSHRC Insight Grant applications and guide you through key application components using examples from successful applications. Participants may attend an individual session or both (a different registration is required for each session).

Behind every therapeutic breakthrough are clinical research professionals who are driven by a powerful purpose: advancing treatments that transform patient lives. ³ÉÈË´óƬ, Kingston Health Sciences Centre and Providence Care are grateful that so many investigators, coordinators, and trialists call these institutions their home. Clinical Trials Day, held on May 20 each year, gives us an opportunity to recognize and celebrate them and their accomplishments.

Please join us for a virtual event discussing the Changing Landscape of Clinical Trials. Speakers representing the key parties in clinical trials – sponsors, ethics boards, investigators, coordinators, and participants – will present their perspectives on this theme.  A panel discussion will follow.

The Vice-Principal Research Portfolio is hosting a virtual Horizon Europe Information session on Wednesday, April 30 at 9-11 am. Please join Nancy Ross (Vice-Principal Research) and Karen Samis (Director, Grants and Research Operations) for an information session that will include brief overviews of Horizon Europe and Pillar II, as well as background information on Canada’s eligibility under Pillar II.

Participants are encouraged to review the most recent draft versions of the in advance of the sessions and familiarize themselves with the proposed calls for each cluster.

While these events are open to everyone, they are targeted to faculty members with an established program of tri-agency funded research and an existing international network.
