Transportation Supervisor
Position description
We offer shuttle services on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday to various hotels and locations across Kingston for the Tricolour Guard. The Tricolour Guard is a celebrated group of alumni who celebrate graduating from Queen's 50 years ago or more. This role will assist with fielding transportation requests from alumni and communicating with the drivers to ensure all alumni are picked up in a timely manner. This role does not require an in-Kingston presence, but knowledge of Kingston and locations across campus is required.
Responsibilities
- Be the main point of contact for alumni and bus drivers
- Speak with alumni to communicate arrival/departure times.
- Field and resolve transportation requests

- Able to answer sporadic calls and send texts during Friday and Saturday.

Volunteer Lounge Supervisor
Position description
The Volunteer Check-In is the central point for all our support staff and volunteers. Staff and students check in for their role, pick up their volunteer vests, and grab some snacks. A place for support and volunteers to get ready or take a break from the Homecoming festivities.
Responsibilities
- Checking in volunteers and support staff in the Volunteer Lounge
- Work with the Volunteer Liaison if someone is unable to attend their shift
- Supervise the Volunteer Lounge
- Keep volunteer vests organized
- Answer questions about campus locations and Homecoming programming

Check-in Set up Support
Position description
Welcome and Check-in is the first stop for alumni on Homecoming weekend. It is a chance for alumni to connect with Queen's, old friends, and former classmates.
In preparation for this event, this role provides set-up support, including unpacking and organizing event items and equipment and moving furniture.
Responsibilities
- Unpack and organize event items (equipment, table linens, signs)
- Prepare items for distribution (reunion pins, hats, etc.)
- Assist with furniture and equipment set-up

- Want to connect with fellow volunteers and support staff before the weekend.
- Are unable to support Homecoming during the weekend but still want to be involved.
- Want to check out Grant Hall and the event layout before your weekend shifts.

This role involves physical demands like carrying and lifting items between 10 — 25 pounds and prolonged periods of standing. Physical stamina and high energy are recommended for this role. Please review the university's health and safety protocols.

Queen's Alumni Review Photobooth Support
Position description
Serving as a home base for visitors, Welcome & Check In is the first stop for returning alumni during Homecoming weekend. The Queen’s Alumni Review (QAR) Booth at Welcome & Check In allows attendees to be professionally photographed, have a designer put their image on the cover of the Alumni Review, and have the finished product emailed to them a few days after Homecoming. This role will stand at the QAR check-in or check-out desk, collect guest information for photos, and send guests through to the booth.
Responsibilities
- Directing alumni through the consent form and to the photobooth
- Answering questions and talking with alumni
- Working collaboratively with the photographer

Parade to Richardson Stadium Support
Position description
The Alumni Parade to Richardson Stadium starts at and travels to for the Homecoming Football Game. performs before setting off to the stadium, leading the alumni through the streets of Kingston. This role will assist in directing alumni to the starting point of the parade or to the bus to the stadium if needed. After the parade has left, this role will assist in covering breaks at the Fall Harvest Alumni Gathering.
Responsibilities
- Assist in directing parade flow
- Directing alumni to the bus to the stadium if needed
- Answering alumni questions about events and campus locations

Fall Harvest Alumni Gathering support
Position description
The Fall Harvest Alumni Gathering is an outdoor, family-friendly event during Homecoming weekend featuring booths from various faculties and local vendors, food trucks, live music, and much more.
This role will assist before and during the event. Saturday morning setup and afternoon takedown, including decorating the field, placing tables and chairs, helping direct vendors to their booths, adjusting seating, and the setup/takedown of lawn games.
During the Gathering, this role circulates the event or will be stationed at a welcome table to assist alumni and the event lead with questions about Homecoming programming.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the setup and takedown of the event (lifting items that could weight 5 to 15 pounds)
- Hosting the welcome table
- Answering questions on Homecoming programming
- Circulating the event grounds
- Facilitating lawn games
You'll enjoy this role if you
- Bringing Fall spirit to life by decorating with pumpkins, hay bales, corn stalks, and other festive touches.

Position description
Cheer on the Tricolour Guard (alumni who graduated from Queen's 50 years ago or more) as they parade around the field during The Tricolour Guard Halftime Parade at the Homecoming football game. It is a moment you don't want to miss! This role involves helping Tricolour Guard members to and from their seats to the parade start point and driving the golf cart across the field during the parade.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Tricolour Guard in moving from their seats to the parade start
- Assist Tricolour Guard into carts
- Driving the golf cart across the field during the parade
You'll enjoy this role if you

Position description
The Tricolour Guard is a special group of alumni who celebrate graduating from Queen's 50 years ago or more. At a cocktail reception followed by dinner, Tricolour Guard members mingle and learn about what's new at the university. This role is responsible for checking in guests, handing out nametags, and supporting individuals with accommodations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Check in guests and provide them with nametags as needed.
- Finding guest names on the seating chart
- Support guests with mobility and accommodation needs from Grant Hall to Ban Righ.
