Clients are to request quotations from suppliers according to the following thresholds
- DG Maintenance (General Moving Services and Event Services)
- 1 quote required up to $40k
- >$40k defer to Frost the Mover or Walkers
- Walkers/Capital Movers (General Moving Services only)
- 1 quote up to $75k
- 2 quotes between $75k to $250k
- >$250k – public tender
- Frost the Mover/Rentx (General Moving Services only)
- 1 quote up to $75k
- 2 quotes between $75k to $250k
- >$250k – public tender
For larger office, laboratory or library, out-of-town moves you can also consider using Moving & Relocation Services (Nationwide Services).

Facilities and Strategic Procurement have streamlined the moving services request process. Moving services requests can now be made online by filling out a on the Facilities website:
- This form is to be used when departments need items moved within their office/building or moving items to a different location.
- Once the request is submitted you will receive a confirmation number that you can use to follow up with the moving company.
- The moving company chosen will bill the requesting department directly.
- Book your moving services request well in advance of the requested date to ensure availability.
- Please continue to use the ewaste/furniture/scrap metal pick up request forms for disposal of end-of life items.
