Udo Sch眉klenk, Professor of Philosophy and Ontario Research Chair in Bioethics at Queen鈥檚 University, was on , discussing the US border opening and vaccine matching.
Interdisciplinary project, 鈥淭oppling Monuments", led by Christine Sypnowich, awarded Wicked Ideas Grant
The interdisciplinary project, 鈥淭oppling Monuments: Colonial Trauma, Justice, Heritage, and Restorative Healing鈥, was recently awarded funding as part of the Wicked Ideas Competition, a Vice-Principal Research initiative to fund and support research collaboration and excellence. The funded "Wicked Ideas" respond to local, national and global challenges by supporting the formation of interdisciplinary research teams that offer the expertise and perspectives needed to tackle these challenges.

Philosophy welcomes Dr. Dalitso Ruwe
We are excited to announce that Dr. Dalitso Ruwe has just joined the Department of Philosophy as Assistant Professor in Black Political Thought. Dr. Ruwe comes to Queen鈥檚 from a Post-Doctoral Fellowship with the Extending New Narratives in the History of Philosophy at the University of Guelph.

The annual Lecture on Kant was established by Dr. Lorne Maclachlan to allow Queen鈥檚 students to hear from experts on the philosopher whose challenging ideas were the subject of Dr. Maclachlan鈥檚 teaching and research throughout his career at Queen鈥檚. An accomplished philosopher, as well as a beloved colleague and teacher, Dr. Lorne Maclachlan passed away in October 2020.
