OnlineNew research is changing how we understand the health benefits of engaging with nature, and Master Gardeners are at the heart of it. What role does nature play in supporting our health, and how can we engage with it more intentionally in our everyday lives?
In this session, ecological horticulturist and Master Gardener Astrid Muschalla will explore how emerging research is reshaping our understanding of the connection between nature, the senses, and overall wellbeing. Drawing on both science and lived experience, Astrid will share how engaging with gardens and natural environments can support mental, physical, and emotional health.
Rooted in ecological gardening practices, this session will highlight how Master Gardeners contribute to building healthier individuals and more connected, resilient communities. Participants will be invited to reflect on their own relationship with the natural world and consider simple, practical ways to engage more meaningfully鈥攚hether through gardening or everyday interactions with nature.
