Specialization in Gender Studies

The BAH Specialization in Gender Studies provides an immersive academic experience in the field with an emphasis on feminist methods and research training. Students apply to the Specialization plan after their first year in Arts and Science and should have completed minimum one of the first-year Gender Studies courses: GNDS 120 and GNDS 125. Preference for enrolment in GNDS 440/3.0 Social Justice Practicum is given to students in the BAH Specialization Plan as it is a core requirement. The Social Justice Practicum provides a unique opportunity to directly experience and analyze the challenges of community involvement and activism. See the Undergraduate Courses in Gender Studies page for more information.
