Interviewing Strategies

This workshop will provide you with a variety of strategies allowing you to attend your next interview feeling confident and prepared, whether it is remote (i.e., by phone or Zoom) or in person. Learn strategies to answer the classic "Tell Me ³ÉÈË´óÆ¬ Yourself" question, behavioural questions, and situational questions. You will also learn to prepare questions to ask the interviewer. Come prepared to practice and leave feeling ready for your next interview!

Resume Fundamentals

In this workshop, you will learn how to use key strategies to highlight your unique skills, knowledge, and experience on your resume or CV. To get the most benefit from this workshop, it is helpful to bring a copy of your resume. If you have a specific opportunity you are applying to, bringing the role description can also be helpful.  

Cover Letter Fundamentals 

In this workshop, you will learn about the key components of a cover letter and strategies for writing a cover letter that will help your application stand out. You will also complete exercises designed to help you get started customizing your cover letter.

Get started with LinkedIn: begin to develop your profile and learn how to strategically use the search function! 
This workshop will help you effectively communicate your career story to the LinkedIn community. We will review major components of your profile, brainstorm key elements of your career story, and begin to create targeted content. You will also learn how to leverage tools and resources specific to Queen’s students to explore potential careers, communicate and network with other professionals, and search for your next career opportunity. If you are attending the workshop in-person, please bring your own tablet or computer.
