
Poet and dramatist Marian Osborne and poet scholar Arthur Bourinot, whose detailed historical and biographical books on his contemporary poets contributed to the founding of Canadian literary criticism, inspired the Poet鈥檚 Hill Project, which was completed in 2006. And it is their final resting place. Poet鈥檚 Hill is at the main entrance to Beechwood Cemetery. It is the last anchor of the Poet鈥檚 Pathway, a 35-kilometre walking and cycling trail from Britannia Beach in the west end to the Rideau and Ottawa rivers and finally to Beechwood Cemetery 鈥
