
All the grass on the hill is burnt golden from the summer sun.
We start walking again, up a little farther to where the benches are.
You talk, point, talk some more.
I try to focus on what you are saying,try to look as if I鈥檓 listening
and nod to show that I am,
but on the inside I鈥檓 busy with something else.
Because it feels as though our eyes are having a separate conversation
and I鈥檓 wondering what is happening.
