Queen’s Partnerships and Innovation is pleased to report the issuance of U.S. Patent No. 12,278,555 "Variable Gain Modulation Methods and Controllers for AC-DC Converter with Power Factor Correction" on April 15, 2025 to Yan-Fei Liu, Binghui He, Yang Chen, Bo Sheng, and Wenbo Liu. The patent relates to a controller for an AC-DC converter including a rectifier circuit that converts AC input voltage into DC output voltage that uses control logic to control the rectifier circuit according to two or more operating modes.
