Undergraduate Orientation

Start Your Queen’s Journey Early with First-Year Foundation

Undergraduate Orientation begins in June, with First-Year Foundation (FYF), a set of free, exclusive programs aimed at helping you establish connections, explore available resources, and get ready for life at Queen’s. Running throughout the summer, FYF provides chances for you and your parents or supporters to begin your Queen’s journey early and feel more confident about transitioning to university.

You will have access to live virtual events, interactive webinars, social activities, and on-demand content, all designed to help you connect with others, learn about essential campus services, and feel more ready for what lies ahead.

Part of our First-Year Foundation programming, Fall Orientation is a combination of University Orientation and Faculty Orientation programming. Both aspects of Fall Orientation are designed to support your transition to the University, connect you with other students, and prepare you for the school year ahead!

University Orientation launches with welcome events held on campus at the beginning of September. Led by the Student Experience Office, University Orientation is free for all incoming students. Event details will be highlighted in your weekly email and distributed through Residence Life or the First Year Off-Campus Community.

Faculty Orientation is focused on providing you with faculty-specific information and connecting you with your faculty and new classmates! Each faculty will have a separate registration process, and more information can be found on your faculty’s orientation page.

Details about live webinars, online modules, and pre-recorded videos for this summer will be listed on our Orientation page as soon as the scheduling is confirmed.
