The (MNU) recently launched a new funding opportunity for senior professional staff across the Network – The Matariki Engagement Grant.
The Matariki Engagement Grant (MEG) is intended to enhance personal and career development, professional leadership expertise and international collaboration. It is open to all senior professional staff across member institutions, and is a funded opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in other Matariki universities on a meaningful 12-month project.
Queen's is pleased to have staff leadership involved in three of the four successful project applications this year, including:
- ‘International Collaboration for Research Office Excellence’, Lead: Martin Gagnon (Otago) with Queen’s (Dr. Karen Samis) & Durham
- ‘Towards equitable and sustainable acquisitions practices in research libraries: A critical reflection on open futures and transformative models of academic journal e-content’, Lead: Dr. (Queen’s), with Durham, Otago, Tübingen, Uppsala, UWA and UWC
- ‘Stories of Belonging and Social Connection: A Micro-video Series Introducing Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Wellness Learning at Queen’s University and University of the Western Cape’, Lead: (Queen’s) with UWC.
