Dr. Carlos Escobedo was in Mexico City promoting the Mexico-Canada Research and Learning Hub in his capacity as academic co-lead.
Dr. Escobedo attended meetings with Deputy Director Deni Tanibe Zenteno Gomez at the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) from Mexico's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) that is responsible for coordinating and promoting Mexico's international development cooperation efforts, and with Yazmin Arias, Trade Commissioner and Academic Affairs Officer, Global Affairs Canada at the Embassy of Canada to Mexico, discussing different avenues to enhance bi-lateral academic cooperation. He also visited Universidad Iberoamericana and Universidad La Salle where he was able to present the Hub and discuss the possibility to initiate talks on potential new programs that facilitate student and faculty mobility, as well as dual degree programs.
