Putting Civility and Respect on the Agenda: Creating Awareness (Thrive 365)

    When:
    Tuesday, March 10, 2026
    1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
    Where:
    Description:

Creating a psychologically healthy and safe workplace requires intentional attention to civility and respect in everyday team interactions. How team members and leaders speak to one another, respond to challenges, and navigate differences directly affects trust, inclusion, and overall wellbeing.

This session examines the factors within a work environment that influence psychological health and safety. Through guided reflection and discussion, participants build awareness of the shared responsibility each person has in contributing to a respectful, inclusive, and supportive workplace.

    In this session, teams will:

    • Review the principles of psychologically safe discussions
    • Develop a shared understanding of civility and respect in a workplace context
    • Recognize what civility and respect look like in day-to-day interactions
    • Identify words and behaviours that reflect positive, respectful communication
    • Select concrete actions that demonstrate civility and respect within a team
    • Explore criteria for creating meaningful and sustainable change
    • Recommend practical actions to strengthen civility and respect in their own team or workplace

A Team Link will be sent out in advance of this session.
