This session will explore how strength training supports females' experiences, through physical and mental wellbeing across different life stages, including early adulthood, midlife, and beyond. Jocelyn will break down common myths, explain why strength matters for bone health, metabolism, injury prevention, and confidence, and share practical strategies that can be applied at home, in the gym, or at work. Participants will leave with:
- A better understanding of why strength training is essential for female's health
- Practical tips for getting started or progressing safely
- Guidance on technique, movement quality, and injury prevention
- Increased confidence to incorporate strength training into everyday life
- Be prepared to move and exercise during this session
This session recognizes that people of all gender identities may experience hormonal and other physical-related health needs. While some content references health topics commonly associated with female health experiences, the information shared is also relevant to non-binary, gender-diverse, and transgender individuals. All participants are welcome, and the session aims to support inclusive, respectful, and informed wellbeing for everyone.
