Older Adult Innovation Challenge
Host Organization: Centre for Aging and Brain Health Innovation (CABHI)
Format: Hybrid (partial in-person and virtual)
Start Date: January 29th, 5:30 – 7:30pm virtual start
Pitch Date: February 5th, 5:30 – 7:30pm in person
Honorarium: $525 per student (awarded upon completion)
This interdisciplinary challenge invites students to address one of today’s most pressing societal issues: supporting an aging population through innovation.
Students will work in teams to develop practical, real-world solutions for older adults and caregivers. Teams will be assigned to one of the following themes
- Optimizing and enhancing health for older adults
- Empowering caregivers of older adults to live their best lives
The challenge emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and the integration of social impact with technological and systemic innovation.
How to Participate
- Open to students from all disciplines
- Apply individually or as a team of 4–6 students
- Students may participate in one opportunity only
