Description:
You are invited to join us at the Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre for a fun public activity day all about our “favourite” invasive species in this area - TICKS! Although ticks are dormant in the winter, our awareness of tick safety never stops! On this fun activity day, we will learn about why the winter season is essential to the tick life cycle and will take an educational hike to identify climate change impacts to our winters and how this affects tick biology. You'll come away with tools and techniques to protect yourself and your pets during your next outdoor adventure.
