Description:
In this interactive workshop, participants will explore how everyday behaviours, language, and assumptions can influence psychological safety in the workplace—often in unintended ways. Together, we will reflect on the kind of work environment we want to create and the individual responsibility each of us holds in fostering respectful, psychologically safe interactions. This session is part of the Wellness Champion Sticker Program.
In this workshop, we will examine:
- The unintended impact of our words, actions, and communication styles
- The assumptions and biases we may bring into workplace interactions
- The role of moral courage in speaking up, setting boundaries, and supporting others at work
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Define psychological safety and explain its importance in creating a healthy and respectful work environment
- Recognize how everyday interactions can unintentionally cause harm or promote safety
- Reflect on personal assumptions and behaviours and their impact on others
- Demonstrate strategies for communicating with respect, curiosity, and accountability
