Understanding early signs, symptoms, and prevention strategies can make a meaningful difference in cancer outcomes. Proactive awareness empowers individuals to take charge of their health and supports a culture of informed, person-centred care.
In this session, Dr. Carlos Paiva, clinical oncologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Oncology at Queen’s University, will provide evidence-based guidance on recognizing early warning signs, current screening recommendations, and strategies to support early detection.
You’ll learn how to:

• Understand current screening guidelines and prevention strategies
• Apply person-centred communication in discussing health and prevention
