Description:
Our health is important, not only to ourselves, but to the whole matrix of life. Ayurveda teaches us that we are not separate from nature but an integrated part of the whole system. Where each of us finds balance, peace, and harmony, the whole system experiences it. Ayurveda offers us a practical and elegant map to maintain the health we have, and to keep building more health and resilience, known as Ayurveda's Three Pillars of Health. Each pillar invites us to understand ourselves, our connection to our life, and to create rhythm and harmony to cultivate well-being.
These three powerful pillars are:
- Pillar 1 – Nourishment: Supporting our digestive fire to optimize nutritional intake so we can build strong and healthy tissues, reduce metabolic waste to lower the risk of disease, and the importance of eliminating wastes from our system. It's not only what you eat, but how you eat it, and if you digest it.
- Pillar 2 – Sleep: The importance of restorative sleep for digestion (in body and mind), clearing toxins, rebuilding healthy tissues, emotional and hormonal well-being, and refilling the well of energy.
- Pillar 3 – Energy Management: Understanding how much energy you have, knowing what uses it up, and implementing a daily routine to maintain and build your energy and resilience. The best way to build and maintain health is to create a daily routine where you meet your health needs.
Health is created by daily choices, not by chance. To learn more, register below.
