The Eileen Krieger Award Committee is now seeking nominations for the 2025-2026 Eileen Krieger Award in the Department of Global Development Studies. The award was established in the memory of Eileen Krieger whose tragic death in a car accident in 2003 deeply affected the entire university community.
The award seeks to honour a graduating student in the DEVS program who demonstrates the qualities we cherished in Eileen: strong extra-curricular involvement at Queen鈥檚 University, a positive and energetic attitude, strong leadership skills, and excellent academic standing.
Selection will be made in consultation with a committee that includes a representative from the DEVS Department School Council (DSC).
Nomination Procedure:
Students from any year within their DEVS program (Minor, Joint Honours, Major) may nominate any DEVS Major or DEVS Joint Honours student who is graduating this year. The nomination must demonstrate how the nominee meets the award criteria as outlined on the nomination form. Please note that self-nominations will not be accepted.
The winner will be announced in April 2026.
