Open to BIPoC students: The Culture Connect program is proud to present a day with Four Directions Indigenous Student Centre.
On the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S), BIPoC students are invited to gather for a talk around the fire with Elder Betty Carr-Braint while snacking on fry bread followed by a Medicine Walk with Misty Underwood at Lemoine Point. This is an important day to gather in community, to reflect and honour the lives of those lost and the ongoing violence against Indigenous people.
October 4 @ 11am-3pm
Meet at Four Directions followed by Lemoine Point transportation will be provided for those in need of it.
A big thank you to Lisa Cadue for providing fry bread.
