Over a period of ten years, the Golden Thread Gallery has built a reputation as a prestigious and inclusive venue for the visual arts. Since moving to bigger and more accessible premises in April 2007 the Gallery has continued to feature exhibitions from the best of contemporary Irish and international artists. Curated by Peter Richards, an acclaimed camera obscura artist, the gallery specialises in the contemporary visual arts and represents major art prize-winners including Dan Shipsides, Susan MacWilliams and Carbon Design. Recent projects include the Collective Histories Of Northern Irish Art: a series of up to twelve exhibitions complemented by fully illustrated catalogues that provide an in-depth exploration of the development of Northern Irish Art.
